POSITION PURPOSE / IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION The Fitness Instructor - Aquatics is responsible for providing instruction to participants of various ages and abilities for water fitness classes. Recreation staff have the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety of program participants.

Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses, and Certifications Required: First Aid, CPR and AED certification by the first day of actual employment.

Preferred: Previous experience teaching aerobics or water fitness Nationally recognized aerobics or water fitness certification(s) such as AEA, ACE, YMCA, AFAA, APAI, and Silver Sneakers National Water Aerobics Certification Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and skills, may be considered.
