POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES The Level 2 Commissioning (Cx) Agent plays a key role in supporting successful execution of commissioning, re/retro-commissioning (RCx), and energy audit projects. Reporting to the Commissioning Project Manager, this individual will support KFI s commissioning team by supporting the development of projects, executing field activities, and supporting the development of reports. The successful candidate will have a pragmatic and applied approach, enjoy working in the field, and effectively interact directly with customers and contractors. They will have a strong attention to detail and will possess effective communication and influencing skills. This person will also be self-directed, but thrive in an environment where consultation and collaboration lead to superior outcomes. In an ideal world, the person filling this opening will have experience doing this type of work, an engineering or technology degree or related HVAC technical degree, working knowledge of HVAC systems fundamentals, and HVAC system test & balance procedures. Perform test & balance (TAB) measurements and processes in new construction and retro-commissioning applications. Perform Cx/RCx functional testing of HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems. Depending on experience level and project complexity, this may include a combination of supporting the execution of these activities under a PM on projects or self-executing tests in the field for their own self-managed projects. In addition, this will require the ability to provide technical write-ups to capture field findings on their own projects or in support of other PMs. Participate in construction and/or commissioning meetings and document representative notes on action items and responsibilities. Review and comment on equipment submittals related to commissioned systems. Additional Duties may also include the following based upon incoming experience or training over time: Assist the Project Manager with RCx energy analysis and/or energy conservation opportunities calculations. KFI Engineers is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
