Google Application Engineer, Supply Chain in Mountain View, California

Role Description

As our Application Engineer, Supply Chain Management, you will bring a deep understanding of SAP and Siemens Teamcenter to design integrations and optimizations for our supply chain processes and technology platforms. You’ll lead the enhancements and systems integrations, as well as testing, working with internal stakeholders to increase our supply chain efficiency, from product conception through to disposal.

In this role, you'll:

  • Utilize SAP and Siemens Teamcenter to develop and implement strategies that streamline supply chain operations, enhance product lifecycle management, and support business objectives.

  • Lead the integration of supply chain processes with SAP and Siemens Teamcenter, ensuring seamless data flow and optimized operations.

  • Work with supply chain stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for system enhancements and new implementations.

  • Design and propose innovative solutions that leverage SAP and Siemens Teamcenter functionalities to meet business needs, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

  • Oversee the testing of new features and systems, manage their deployment across the organization, and provide ongoing support and training to users.

  • Monitor system performance and supply chain metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance business processes.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and software vendors, ensuring alignment on projects, and effectively communicating progress and challenges to internal stakeholders

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience working with SAP and/or Siemens Teamcenter.

  • Experience in a supply chain or business system analyst role, with strong techno-functional expertise in supply chain and product lifecycle management implementation.

  • Experience leading an SAP implementation from end-to-end.

  • 3 years in a leadership or team lead role.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience identifying inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement with ability to enhance overall process efficiency and user satisfaction.

  • Experience as the primary liaison and management between the organization and service vendors, ensuring alignment on projects, and effectively communicating progress and challenges to internal stakeholders.

  • Exposure to SAP Finance, Procure to Pay, Coupa, Vertex, HR Systems (Workday, Concur), Nuvolo, Simple Legal, P6, Blackline, and Asignet.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $185,000 - $203,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
