Cargill Production Executive in Melaka Pindah, Malaysia

Job Purpose and Impact

The Production Executive will lead the production team to achieve the KPI for production such as quality of product, productivity improvement. He will also involve in process review and improvement and will play important role to support new product development.

Key Accountabilities

  • Production related activities such as manpower planning and production planning.

  • Maintain good quality of product through quality control activities, process review, equipment cleaning planning, failure analysis, reprocess and junk feed minimization.

  • Involve in shrink control process such as leakages, moisture control, and accuracy of ingredient usage.

  • Support location safety program such as training critical task, addressing issues related to production safety near misses, conducting safe track.

  • Support plant manager during his absence and other ad hoc request.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Effective communication and team development skills.

  • Computer literate

  • Previous experience as team leader in a production environment or shown ability in a skilled operative position with the willingness to undertake further qualification if required.

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering field or manufacturing

  • Minimum 5 years working experience with hands on, and supervisory skill in production and planning

  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple business applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc;

  • Ability to work with confidential information

  • Strong people performance management skill

  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent listening skills.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Basic knowledge in production planning

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • High level of integrity and work ethic.

  • Ability to develop and implement new processes or recommend changes

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and a variable workload.

  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours as seasonal workloads require

  • Lean six sigma experience
