Collaborate with a group of skilled professionals within Johnson & Johnson's global Supply Chain organization, supporting operations across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. Our Deliver Group is committed to providing seamless customer experiences through essential customer-facing functions including customer service, distribution, and transportation.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Supporting the Johnson & Johnson European Distribution Center in Courcelles to deliver equipment project automation workstreams from project design through launch / operational stabilization in coordination with regional segment engineering team and other multi-functional project team members.

  • Supporting site Warehouse Control System (WCS) deployments, resolving operational technical events and implementing remediations with equipment integrators and WCS vendors.

  • Partnering with site teams for knowledge transfer for technical issues and developing maintenance procedures for future self-sufficiency.

  • Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using Industry 4.0 principles such as Automation, IoT, big-data analytics, and cyber-physical systems.

  • Partnering with J&J technology organizations (ISRM, JJT, TQ) to ensure WCS requirements are represented in deployments and plans (e.g. JJT Server and Network Infrastructure, Cyber Security & SOX, Common Data Layer Digital Strategies).

  • Identifying and resolving automation challenges.

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Qualifications

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or IT / Systems related field

  • Proven experience in automation engineering, preferably in the medical device industry, in a highly automated manufacturing and /or distribution systems with high output throughput in a GMP and/or regulatory environment.

  • Solid understanding of automation systems and programming languages (e.g., PLC, HMI, SCADA)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS ARE PREFERRED:

  • Computer System Validation (CSV) & SDLC Documentation & Testing Procedures; Microsoft.NET ASP & Windows applications or JAVA based equivalent;

  • Controls / Automation – PLC, HMI, SCADA, OEE, Warehouse Control Systems;

  • IQ/OQ/PQ based validation plans. Engineering change control, protocol, and test development, execution, report writing.

  • Rockwell Automation PLC and HMI Platforms and Industrial Data Centers; motion control systems (servo systems, robotics etc), barcode scanning, label printing & vision systems; six sigma /green belt.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in French and English is required, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

  • On site presence is required

  • Travel up to 5% of the time to collaborate with global teams as needed.

The successful applicant will initially join as a fixed-term employee until April 2025, with the potential for contract extension based on project timelines and the emergence of additional opportunities.
