Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Senior Cost Accountant to join our client's global team to contribute to the energizing transformation of society and industry towards a productive and sustainable future, embracing their commitment to diversity and inclusion. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Monitoring and analyzing financial KPIs and identifying relevant business trends.

* Collaborating with finance professionals to understand financial performance drivers.

* Preparing and reviewing financial documents and presentations for business planning.

* Performing account reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and inventory analyses.

* Communicating with project sponsors regarding the status of ongoing projects.

* Facilitating the cycle count process and reconciling balance sheets.

* Validating operational and financial data accuracy through reconciliations and exception reviews.

* Preparing financial modeling for "what if" scenarios and analyzing their impact on the factory.

Financial Reporting & Planning:

• Lead the preparation of financial reports, business plans, budgets, and forecasts.

• Ensure alignment with client's accounting policies and internal controls.

Accounting & Compliance:

• Oversee the classification and coding of financial transactions.

• Maintain compliance with client's accounting practices, budgets, and policies.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct thorough analyses of general ledger accounts.

• Prepare variance analyses and management reports.

• Assist with period-end reporting and cost accounting tasks.

Inventory Management:

• Collaborate with facility cycle counters for daily inventory processes.

• Administer capital projects from inception to disposal.

• Manage excess and obsolete inventory.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

* 8-10 years of experience in accounting/cost accounting and/or as a controller within a manufacturing environment

* Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups and other accounting skills)

* Experience with SAP, Oracle and/or KBM

* Strong written & verbal communication skills null
