Aerotek Assembler in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Description:

Position is responsible for ASSEMBLY OF AXLES and related components on the line. All is done to ensure a quality axle product for placement to the chassis line in a safe and timely fashion, and to ensure all product is assembled, tested and verified to customer specification.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

-Responsible for building axles and related assemblies in an efficient, quality driven manner.

-Responsible for productivity, safety and quality goals set by the company.

-Report to Line leader, supervisor and/ or direct manager any problems that could interfere with

the delivery of axles or related department assemblies to the chassis line or the final customer.

-Ensure a clean working environment.

-Observe company policies and ensure that all policies are conformed to, including work

instructions, SOPs and safety rules.

-Support the Quality and Environmental Policies and Management Systems.

-Other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES: Mechanical Aptitude Tool Knowledge MFG/Production Experience

-Assemblers must be safety conscious, detail-oriented and have the ability to work well with others in a team environment

-Must possess a good work ethic, be adaptable to a fast paced work environment

-Must have the flexibility to work overtime

-Must be able to lift up to 55

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of the production line and production parts for assembly

  • Mechanical or knowledge

  • Motivational skills
